A doodling journaling traveler is what I am (among other things, obvs) and naturally over the years I’ve ended up with notes scribbled onto hotel stationary that I don’t always remember what it means years later. When scrapbooking became my mom’s new hobby and with it came the amazing supplies, I started to add pictures to my journals. I now have a team of travel journals so that no matter where I am I always have one near by. But when I went to Loreto Mexico for an ah-may-zing Celebrity food and wine week (literally in the middle of packing up our house to move to Tennessee) I had already packed them up. So, what is a girl to do? Go back to her hotel stationary notes. These are those notes along side photos to bring them to life.

I have done many a traveling things that in the moment of booking seemed like a great idea. Flying to the west coast and back in less than 5 days while in the middle of moving, wasn’t the poor life decision. Choosing to save $75 bucks was. I could have easily made the trip shorter, but at the time of booking my flight it seems like a good and grand idea. I am here to tell you that I have learned my lesson. Jet Lag is a thing. And I felt like I was in the movie Groundhog Day. I would board a plane at 10 am, fly for a couple of hours and somehow magically land in the next city around 10am. My concept of time has never been so skewed (insert wide eyed smiley that looks surprised).

Last time we went to Loreto we drove there but I think we are going to fly next time. There is a non-stop from Tijuana to Loreto. You should check out the whale watching in San Ignacio for your return trip. It’s a couple of hours away on the Pacific side of Baja. When we went I got to kiss baby whales the mother whale lifted up to our panga. Did you get to see the rays jumping in San Ignacio?
